Producing a video, filmed on your mobile
Time: Half Day (min) Full day (preferred)
Recommended to be run together with the Using Video in Social Media workshop and therefore run over two full days.
Filming is a process. It’s 10% creative and 90% work and organisation. Getting the logistics right is vital to free your creative mind.
The workshop is split into three main sections
We will provide you with hints and tips for producing a short video, filmed on your mobile phone.
Including the following topics:
- Understanding your audience
- Expectations from the project
- Recommended kit
- Apps & Software for Video & Audio Production and Editing
Practical Workshop Part 1
We will provide you a production task, including guide sheets and example videos.
After preparing your storyboard and shot lists, you will go out and shoot some video footage on your mobile phones and record some voice overs too.
Below is some of the drone footage we shot around Leith, Edinburgh when we ran this course for Visit Scotland’s Corporate Communications Team. (Apologies for the cheesy Scottish music!)
Practical Workshop Part 2
In the final part of the workshop, you will bring together all your footage and assets and edit a finished video ready for a Show & Tell session with the rest of your team.
We recommend liaising with us ahead of the session to ensure you have all the appropriate apps available on your phones and laptops.
